Appleton Park is a fantastic all-abilities playground located on Anzac Parade along Yeppoon’s beautiful foreshore. The park features a disability-accessible swing, with the key available from the nearby Sailing Club.
Perfect for families, birthday parties and group get-togethers, the park offers barbecue facilities, picnic tables, plenty of seating and a large shaded area surrounded by established trees. The playground is fully fenced, giving parents a little extra peace of mind, with two toilets conveniently located nearby.
One of the park’s standout features is the impressive 10.45-metre-high Octo Net – a huge climbing structure that provides hours of fun and imaginative play for adventurous kids.
There’s also a spacious grassed area beside the playground, ideal for spreading out a picnic rug, relaxing in the sunshine or enjoying a little extra room when the picnic tables are busy.
Appleton Park is also home to the Yeppoon Skate Park, making it a great spot for kids of different ages and interests.
Parking is available around the top, front and side of the playground, although spaces can be harder to find on busy weekends, particularly with the nearby lagoon attracting plenty of visitors. Additional undercover parking is available approximately 200 metres towards Yeppoon town centre.
